Record #108152:

Submarine permafrost and gas hydrates in the northern Barents Sea / Vigdis Løvø, and 6 others.

Title: Submarine permafrost and gas hydrates in the northern Barents Sea / Vigdis Løvø, and 6 others.
Author(s): Løvø, Vigdis.
Date: 1990.
Publisher: Oslo: Norsk Polarinstitutt
Abstract: In-situ information on sub-sea permafrost, ice-bearing sediments and rocks, and gas hydrates in Barents Sea is very limited. Evaluation of possibilities for existence of these phenomena and their distribution is therefore based largely on knowledge of present-day physical settings and Late Cenozoic geological history of Barents Sea, coupled with information from other Arctic regions.

551.345 -- Permafrost. Cryopedology.
551.345.1 -- Permafrost, surveys.
547.211 -- Methane.
553.98 -- Hydrocarbon deposits.
E8 -- Glaciology: frost action and permafrost.
