Record #107865:

A comparison of the internal compositional mix of trace species in ice particles and cloud droplets / Randolph D. Borys.

Title: A comparison of the internal compositional mix of trace species in ice particles and cloud droplets / Randolph D. Borys.
Author(s): Borys, Randolph D.
Date: 1990.
Publisher: Boston, MA: American Meteorological Society
In: 1990 Conference on Cloud Physics. July 23-27, 1990, San Francisco, Calif.. (1990.),
Abstract: Presents results of experiment investigating whether supercooled cloud water and ice particles (i.e. falling snow) in precipitating, mixed-phase cloud differ in chemical composition as well as in concentration. Related to investigations of possibility of nonlinear precipitation scavenging of atmospheric pollutants, representativeness of snowfall as indicator of atmospheric composition, and aerosol lifetimes in atmosphere.
Notes:

In: 1990 Conference on Cloud Physics. July 23-27, 1990, San Francisco, Calif. / American Meteorological Society.

Keywords: 551.578.4 -- Ice needles, sleet, falling snow and graupel.
551.578.41 -- Snow, structure, composition and temperature.
