[Frequency distributions of densities for four types of snow in Shinjo] / Osamu Abe.
Title: | [Frequency distributions of densities for four types of snow in Shinjo] / Osamu Abe. |
Author(s): | Abe, Osamu. |
Date: | 1990. |
Language: | Japanese. |
Abstract: | Data relating to new, semi-settled, settled, and granular snow obtained over 15 winter seasons (1973/74 to 1987/88) and analyzed statistically. Average densities did not change widely each year for new and granular snow. For settled snow, however, average density increases significantly in winters of heavy snow and unsettled weather. Range, consequently, is twice as large as those for new and granular snow. |
Notes: | Offprint: Report of the National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Prevention. Vol. 46 :83-92. English abstract, p. 83. |
