| Abstract: | Re-investigation of two of most prominent unconformities, between Cenomanian and ?Campanian-Maastrichtian and between Cenomanian and ?"Senonian" respectively, confirmed that unconformities exist, but cast doubt on reliability of palynological dating of sediments above unconformities. Provisionally, sections above unconformities examined are placed in Lower Paleocene, and unconformities at their base are interpreted as being due to end-Cretaceous movements known to have taken place in this part of West Greenland. |
