Record #107287:

Cryospheric data for studies of global change / John E. Walsh, Roger G. Barry.

Title: Cryospheric data for studies of global change / John E. Walsh, Roger G. Barry.
Author(s): Walsh, John E.
Barry, Roger G.
Date: [1990]
Publisher: Boston, MA: American Meteorological Society
Abstract: Survey of existing data in context of high-latitude monitoring and model verification. Four groups are described: sea ice, continental snow cover, glaciers and ice sheets, and permafrost. Major large-scale data sets are identified for each of these, and assessed in terms of spatial coverage and resolution, temporal resolution and record length, limitations and appropriateness for model verification.
