Abstract: Reports on findings of investigations, 1978-90, into snow trapping capabilities, handling and durability, and costs of several new types of snow fences (vertical slats of wood and metal; polyethylene lattices; polyethylene, polyester and nylon nets; and horizontal straps of polyester and fabric. Vertical wood slats were most satisfactory.
