Record #106908:

Modelling the ice/water boundary layer / Anders Omstedt.

Title: Modelling the ice/water boundary layer / Anders Omstedt.
Author(s): Omstedt, Anders.
Date: 1990.
Publisher: Espoo: Helsinki University of Technology
In: IAHR. The 10th Symposium on Ice, August 20-24, 1990, Espoo, Finland. Proceedings. (1990.), Vol. 1.
Abstract: Summarizes different approaches applied to rivers, lakes, and oceans. Three methods for calculating fluxes of momentum, heat, and mass are outlined: calculation based on bulk formulae, coupled ice/water models using wall functions, and coupled ice/water models which resolve viscous sublayers. Also discusses modelling fluxes when large roughness elements are present (due to ice jams or keels). Discussion, Vol. 3, p. 368-371.
Notes:

In: IAHR. The 10th Symposium on Ice, August 20-24, 1990, Espoo, Finland. Proceedings. Vol. 1. / International Association for Hydrological Research.
