Record #106733:

Analysis of the composite ice wall / P.R. Corder, C.Y. Wang.

Title: Analysis of the composite ice wall / P.R. Corder, C.Y. Wang.
Author(s): Corder, P. R.
Wang, C. Y.
Date: 1990.
Publisher: New York: American Society of Mechanical Engineers
In: Offshore and Arctic Operations Symposium 1990 presented at the Thirteenth Annual Energy-Sources Technology Conference and Exhibition, New Orleans, Louisiana, January 14-18, 1990 ... [proceedings]. (1990.),
Abstract: Compares performance of this structural configuration (steel-concrete-steel sandwich used for resisting ice loadings on offshore drilling and production platforms operating in Arctic waters) as predicted by its linear, closed-form analytical model with that predicted in finite element models of same structure. Primary interest was effect on strength at low operating temperatures.
Notes:

Keywords: 624.14 -- Snow and ice engineering.
624.145 -- Floating ice, engineering aspects.
624.145.1 -- Floating ice, thrust.
