Record #106710:

Late Pleistocene ice-wedge casts and sand-wedge relics in the Wyoming basins, USA / Thomas C. Nissen, Brainerd Mears, Jr.

Title: Late Pleistocene ice-wedge casts and sand-wedge relics in the Wyoming basins, USA / Thomas C. Nissen, Brainerd Mears, Jr.
Author(s): Nissen, Thomas C.
Mears, Brainerd,
Date: 1990.
In: Permafrost and Periglacial Processes. (1990.), Vol. 1(3-4) (1990)
Abstract: Detailed study at six sites, selected because they provide representatives of all Pleistocene cryogenic (periglacial) wedge types so far discovered in basin floors. Ice-wedge casts, sand-wedge relics and composite types, as well as epi-, syn-, and polygenetic forms can be differentiated, and their characteristics are discussed.
Notes:
