Record #106391:
Role of sublimation in particle supply for aeolian transport in cold environments / Cheryl McKenna Neuman.
Title: | Role of sublimation in particle supply for aeolian transport in cold environments / Cheryl McKenna Neuman. |
Author(s): | McKenna Neuman, Cheryl. |
Date: | 1990. |
In: | Geografiska Annaler. Series A. Physical Geography. (1990.), Vol. 72A(3-4) (1990) |
Abstract: | Relation between loose particle production and thermophysical properties of frozen ground (pore structure and ice content, grain size and shape, temperature) is unknown. Reports results of laboratory experiment which examines these relations and presents empirical model which gives first approximation of rate of loose particle generation in field situations. |
Notes: | Geografiska Annaler. Series A. Physical Geography. Vol. 72A(3-4) :329-335 (1990). |
Keywords: | 551.343 -- Periglacial processes. Thermokarst. 551.555 -- Winds of special localities. D -- Atmospheric sciences. |
