Record #106347:

Human impacts and ecological constraints on skuas / Alan D. Hemmings.

Title: Human impacts and ecological constraints on skuas / Alan D. Hemmings.
Author(s): Hemmings, Alan D.
Date: 1990.
Publisher: Berlin: Springer
In: Antarctic ecosystems : ecological change and conservation. (1990.),
Abstract: Documents human impacts across range of natural environments occupied by Catharacta lonnbergi and C. maccormicki in the Southern Ocean. Population increases shown in response to station garbage, introduced exotic prey species and as result of human perturbation of marine environment, while reductions result by direct destruction, exclusion from breeding grounds and reduction of prey species availability.
Notes:

In: Antarctic ecosystems : ecological change and conservation / Knowles R. Kerry, Gotthilf Hempel, eds.
