| Abstract: | Data allow determination of sea-ice border between Greenland and Kara Sea. Presents overview of methods of image interpretation; single channel images, channel combination, minimum brightness. Comparison made for special cases with data from microwave sounding unit on board NOAA satellites. Monthly sea-ice border is evaluated with data before last decade of each month and area covered by sea ice between 50°W and 60°E is computed, which allows detection of variations from month to month and year to year. |
