Record #106088:

Ice-rich, redeposited diamicton blocks and associated structures in Quaternary outwash sediments of the Inn valley near Innsbruck, Austria / Karl Krainer, Gerhard Poscher.

Title: Ice-rich, redeposited diamicton blocks and associated structures in Quaternary outwash sediments of the Inn valley near Innsbruck, Austria / Karl Krainer, Gerhard Poscher.
Author(s): Krainer, Karl.
Poscher, Gerhard.
Date: 1990.
In: Geografiska Annaler. Series A. Physical Geography. (1990.), Vol. 72A(3-4) (1990)
Abstract: Discusses occurrence of redeposited diamicton blocks containing flatiron-shaped and ice-striated pebbles. Associated with these blocks are small graben-like structures offset by small high-angle faults, cause of which was melting of underlying ice-rich blocks. Diamicton blocks probably originated from frozen glacial sediments, such as tills from advancing Inn glacier.
