Record #106058:

Snow grain size and grain growth parameterization / S.E. Marshall, S.G. Warren.

Title: Snow grain size and grain growth parameterization / S.E. Marshall, S.G. Warren.
Author(s): Marshall, S. E.
Warren, S. G.
Date: 1990.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1990.), Vol. 71(43) (1990)
Abstract: Abstract only. Based on theory of snow metamorphism in wet and dry snowpacks and on theory of grain growth in metals. Calculates growth rate of snow grain area for dry snow as exponential function of surface air temperature. For ablating snow, growth rate is linear function of time from onset of melt, based on available data.
Notes:

Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. Vol. 71(43) :1334 (1990).
