Record #106032:

Response of polythermal glaciers to climatic changes / H. Blatter.

Title: Response of polythermal glaciers to climatic changes / H. Blatter.
Author(s): Blatter, H.
Date: 1990.
In: Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1990.), Vol. 71(43) (1990)
Abstract: Abstract only. Basal layer of temperate ice may exist below bulk of cold ice, defining cold-temperate transition surface where melting or freezing may occur. Numerical model based on continuum mechanics and mixture theory is used to calculate temperature distribution in cold portion and position of possible transition surface. Discusses application to "Laika" glacier, Coburg Island, NWT, Canada.
Notes:

Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. Vol. 71(43) :1314 (1990).
