Abstract: Typed manuscript edited for publication by Rolf Gilberg. People in this account, by unidentified narrator, of Polar Eskimos Uvdloriaq (c.1875-1921) and Kavsaluk (c. 1880-1916) were well known to Freuchen, who married Kavsaluk's daughter Navarana. Includes references to shaman Kajorapaluk and to conversion to Christianity. Freuchen's novel Ivalu (1930) begins with considerably expanded and more dramatic version of same story.
