Record #105506:

A comparison of test methods for determination of flexural strength in urea model ice / Sharon L. Borland.

Title: A comparison of test methods for determination of flexural strength in urea model ice / Sharon L. Borland.
Author(s): Borland, Sharon L.
Date: 1990.
In: CRREL Special Report. (1990.), Vol. 90-28 (1990)
Abstract: Ten urea sheets ranging in thickness from 35 to 110 mm were tested for flexural strength using three beam methods. Ice strength was determined by loading ice beams to failure in flexure using various loading configurations, which included current standard methods with in-situ cantilever beams and in-situ and out-of-water three-point simple beams. Conclusions discussed.
