Icelandic nationalism and the whaling issue / Anne Brydon.

Title: Icelandic nationalism and the whaling issue / Anne Brydon.
Author(s): Brydon, Anne.
Date: 1990.
In: North Atlantic Studies. (1990.), Vol. 2(1-2) (1990)
Abstract: Since 1979 discussions within Iceland about continuation of whaling have become increasingly nationalist in their interpretation. Author places these discussions within their historical and social contexts, relating them to notions of independence, and to attitudes to nature and to foreigners.
