Abstract: | Describes results of study which indicates that conducting cetacean sighting and fishery resource surveys simultaneously can result in synergism that provides ecologically important information not otherwise available. From 1980 to 1986, during 124 cruises each of roughly 12 days' duration, roughly 12,000 cetacean and 14,000 seabird transects were surveyed in area from Mid-Atlantic Bight to Georges Bank and Gulf of Maine. |
