CEAREX Drift Experiment / R.S. Pritchard, and others.
Title: | CEAREX Drift Experiment / R.S. Pritchard, and others. |
Author(s): | Pritchard, R. S. |
Date: | 1990. |
In: | Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. (1990.), Vol. 71(40) (1990) |
Abstract: | Experiment was part of Coordinated Eastern Arctic Experiment and focused on transition period during sea-ice freezeup and on dark winter period, and was designed to observe atmosphere, sea ice, and ocean behaviour simultaneously. Ice behaviour included movement and associated acoustic ambient noise and coherence. Experiment was conducted from ship frozen into pack ice in September 1988 at 82°41′N, 32°26′E at edge of two adjacent floes. Drift operations were completed by mid-January 1989. |
Notes: | Eos : transactions, American Geophysical Union. Vol. 71(40) :1115-1118 (1990). |
