Abstract: Proceedings of the 16th annual conference of the Australian Institute of International Affairs held in Hobart a month after the XV ATCM in Paris. Papers respond to conflicts arising during that meeting and deal with issues such as the Convention on the Regulation of Antarctic Mineral Resource Activities (CRAMRA) versus World Park, role of sovereignty issues in future developments, relations between the Antarctic Treaty System and the United Nations, and the role of science in Antarctic policy.
