Record #104783:

Three-dimensional ductile constitutive equation for ice / K. Santaoja.

Title: Three-dimensional ductile constitutive equation for ice / K. Santaoja.
Author(s): Santaoja, K.
Date: 1990.
In: Journal of Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering. (1990.), Vol. 112(3) (1990)
Abstract: Describes some results of project to develop constitutive equation of ice for computer applications, so that ice-exerted loads on structures may be computed. Purpose of paper is to obtain multiaxial constitutive equation for numerical simulation of ductile behavior of ice. Deformation mechanisms examined are: instantaneous linear elasticity, viscoelasticity, viscoplasticity due to dislocation movement. Special attention to physical and mathematical description of deformation mechanisms in delayed elasticity.
