Physical and acoustic properties of Arctic Ocean deep-sea sediments: paleoclimatic implications / Jurgen Mienert, L.A. Mayer, Glenn A. Jones, J.W. King.

Title: Physical and acoustic properties of Arctic Ocean deep-sea sediments: paleoclimatic implications / Jurgen Mienert, L.A. Mayer, Glenn A. Jones, J.W. King.
Author(s): Mienert, Jurgen.
Mayer, L. A.
Jones, Glenn A.
King, J. W.
Date: 1990.
Publisher: Dordrecht: Kluwer Academic
In: Geological history of the polar oceans : Arctic versus Antarctic. (1990.),
Abstract: Presents detailed time framework for last 45 ka in which rock-magnetic and geoacoustic methods are applied to deciphering glacial/interglacial history of central eastern Arctic Basin. If exact relationship between sediment conditions during glacial and interglacial climate and resulting acoustic stratigraphy can be established, it will be possible, through high-resolution profiling on sea floor, to recover information on climatic cycles of Arctic Ocean.
