Record #104690:

A redistribution function applicable to a dynamic model of sea ice / Yoshio Shinohara.

Title: A redistribution function applicable to a dynamic model of sea ice / Yoshio Shinohara.
Author(s): Shinohara, Yoshio.
Date: 1990.
In: Journal of Geophysical Research. (1990.), Vol. 95(C8) (1990)
Abstract: Work done by internal stress is related to redistribution of sea ice for ellipse-type yield curve and sensitivity of obtained redistribution function is examined. Redistribution function is calculated from average values of thickness and compactness. When this was applied to Hibler's (1979) model, calculated ice velocity and growth increase up to 50%.
