Relationships among depth to frozen soil, soil wetness, and vegetation type and biomass in tundra near Bethel, Alaska, U.S.A. / Michael F. Gross, Michael A. Hardisky, James A. Doolittle, Vytautas Klemas.
Title: | Relationships among depth to frozen soil, soil wetness, and vegetation type and biomass in tundra near Bethel, Alaska, U.S.A. / Michael F. Gross, Michael A. Hardisky, James A. Doolittle, Vytautas Klemas. |
Author(s): | Gross, Michael F. Hardisky, Michael A. Doolittle, James A. Klemas, Vytautas. |
Date: | 1990. |
In: | Arctic and Alpine Research. (1990.), Vol. 22(3) (1990) |
Abstract: | Reports sampling of vegetation in three types of vegetation habitat (upland, wet meadow, and lake) in southwestern Alaska, measurement of above- and below-ground biomass and depth of frozen soil. Consistent relationships established indicating possible future role for remote sensing in studies of carbon cycle etc. in tundra areas. |
Notes: | Arctic and Alpine Research. Vol. 22(3) :275-282 (1990). |
