Abstract: Predicts and qualitatively evaluates likely effects such as rising sea levels, shrinking polar ice pack, increasing wave action, degrading coastal permafrost and consequent flooding of low-lying areas. Also, possible beneficial effects such as greater ease of longshore navigation and offshore construction.
