Record #104584:

Ground temperature variations in a subarctic mountain valley, Abisko, northern Sweden / Melanie Josefsson.

Title: Ground temperature variations in a subarctic mountain valley, Abisko, northern Sweden / Melanie Josefsson.
Author(s): Josefsson, Melanie.
Date: 1990.
In: Geografiska Annaler. Series A. Physical Geography. (1990.), Vol. 72A(2) (1990)
Abstract: Studies (1984-87) of ground temperatures and hydrological conditions at four sites on subalpine heath and in birch forest show clear relationship between ground temperature and climatic parameters. Precipitation-poor summers in 1985-87, and colder than normal and snow-poor winters of 1985 and 1987, were instrumental in intensifying effects of seasonal frost at all sites.
