Record #104581:

Frequency of rare weather events during periods of extreme climate / Haldo Vedin.

Title: Frequency of rare weather events during periods of extreme climate / Haldo Vedin.
Author(s): Vedin, Haldo.
Date: 1990.
In: Geografiska Annaler. Series A. Physical Geography. (1990.), Vol. 72A(2) (1990)
Abstract: Compares unusually warm period (1931-40) and much colder period (1979-88) in Karesuando, northern Sweden, with respect to length of growing season and frost occurrence during summer months. Length of growing season and frost conditions are shown to have been rather more favourable during colder decade. There is also evidence that occurrence of extreme areal precipitation over 24 hours has little or no correlation with average long-term temperature conditions.
Notes:
