Abstract: Slightly edited version of report by young motor engineer A.H. Ninnis of fauna he observed between May 1915 and March 1916 in pack ice of Ross Sea and Southern Ocean, during drift of Aurora of Ross Sea Party of Shackleton's 1914-17 Endurance Antarctic expedition. During that time Ninnis was out hunting on pack ice on at least 86 days. Includes observations of penguins, other sea birds, seals and whales with reports on breeding and diet of various species.
