Abstract: Temperatures of 22 glaciers have been measured, using minimum temperature at base of active layer in upper part of ablation area as characteristic of whole glacier. For comparison, mean annual air temperatures at equilibrium line are also presented. Main features of polar, sub-polar, and temperate glaciers are summarized.
