Record #104388:

Mass balance of Rhonegletscher during 1882/83-1986/87 / Jiyang Chen, Martin Funk.

Title: Mass balance of Rhonegletscher during 1882/83-1986/87 / Jiyang Chen, Martin Funk.
Author(s): Chen, Jiyang.
Funk, Martin.
Date: 1990.
In: Journal of Glaciology. (1990.), Vol. 36(123) (1990)
Abstract: Mass balance for this period examined on basis of measurements made for 1884/85-1908/09 and 1979/80-1981/82, and on estimation by regression models of mean specific net balance over entire glacier and climatic elements. Glacier experienced, generally, mass loss. Contribution of temperature changes seems to be of more importance than precipitation changes. Loss reflects climatic warming after end of Little Ice Age.
