| Abstract: | First detailed account of freshwater lake system in the continental oasis of Larsemann Hills, centrally located on southern coast of Prydz Bay and comprising more than 150 lakes and ponds. Entries for each lake include name, location, geology, geomorphology, depth, water chemistry and a photograph; some entries also provide data on benthic sediments, stratigraphy and chronology. |
