| Abstract: | German experts have established that almost 90% of cod in fishing stock off Greenland in 1987 were spawned in 1984. They were about half weight of cod of same age off south coast of Iceland. Comments that since Greenland cod is so important to Icelandic economy, authorities should be willing to invest more money in research on cod stocks, and how or whether growth rate of fish in shoal changes once it moves into Icelandic waters. |
