Record #104111:

26-year high resolution profile of major anions in snow from Coats Land, Antarctica (abstract) / Robert Mulvaney, David A. Peel, Andrew P. Reid.

Title: 26-year high resolution profile of major anions in snow from Coats Land, Antarctica (abstract) / Robert Mulvaney, David A. Peel, Andrew P. Reid.
Author(s): Mulvaney, Robert.
Peel, David A.
Reid, Andrew P.
Date: 1990.
In: Annals of Glaciology. (1990.), Vol. 14 (1990)
Abstract: 7.8 m core obtained in January 1987. Analyzed at frequency of about 28 samples per accumulation year for sulphate, nitrate and chloride, and has been dated stratigraphically from clear seasonal cycles in non-sea salt sulphate. At this resolution, it is possible to examine seasonal pattern of deposition of chemical species and their phase relationships. Particular interest in possibility that ice cores may preserve evidence for disturbances in tropospheric chemistry associated with spring-time depletion of stratospheric ozone.
Notes:

Annals of Glaciology. Vol. 14 :349 (1990).
