Record #104102:

Atmospheric chemistry changes over the last climatic cycle (180 000 years) inferred from the Vostok (Antarctica) ice-core study (abstract) / M. Legrand, C. Feniet-Saigne, J.R. Petit.

Title: Atmospheric chemistry changes over the last climatic cycle (180 000 years) inferred from the Vostok (Antarctica) ice-core study (abstract) / M. Legrand, C. Feniet-Saigne, J.R. Petit.
Author(s): Legrand, M.
Feniet-Saigne, C.
Petit, J. R.
Date: 1990.
In: Annals of Glaciology. (1990.), Vol. 14 (1990)
Abstract: Isotopic composition of ice in 2200 m ice core identifies series of ions originating from impurities in atmosphere deposited over whole last climatic cycle. Large variations of marine and terrestrial aerosols reflect global (source strength and transport efficiency) and local (deposition) changes. Secondary aerosols or gases exhibit more moderate variations. Discusses significance of several specific periodicities.
