Record #104099:

Evaporation of snow and ice in Scharffenbergbotnen, Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica (abstract) / Stig Jonsson, Per Holmlund.

Title: Evaporation of snow and ice in Scharffenbergbotnen, Dronning Maud Land, Antarctica (abstract) / Stig Jonsson, Per Holmlund.
Author(s): Jonsson, Stig.
Holmlund, Per.
Date: 1990.
In: Annals of Glaciology. (1990.), Vol. 14 (1990)
Abstract: Measurements of ablation made in January-February 1988. No signs of melting could be seen so all ablation must be due to evaporation and some wind erosion. Average rate for entire field season was 0.7 mm weq d⁻¹ (standard deviation 0.3). Ice slightly higher than snow, January higher than February. Regional difference also measurable.
Notes:
