Record #104096:

The effect of rheology on seasonal sea-ice simulations (abstract) / Bill Ip, William D. Hibler, III, Gregory M. Flato.

Title: The effect of rheology on seasonal sea-ice simulations (abstract) / Bill Ip, William D. Hibler, III, Gregory M. Flato.
Author(s): Ip, Bill.
Hibler, William D.,
Flato, Gregory M.
Date: 1990.
In: Annals of Glaciology. (1990.), Vol. 14 (1990)
Abstract: In order to investigate role of different rheologies on large-scale flow patterns in Arctic basin, more general numerical scheme than that of Hibler (1979) is developed, which allows simulation of dynamic-thermodynamic behaviour of sea ice with variety of different nonlinear rheologies. Comparative simulations were carried out to seasonal equilibrium with several variations of Mohr-Coulomb rheology and compared to more usual elliptical yield results.
