Record #104092:
Variability of thermohaline circulation under an ice shelf (abstract) / H.H. Hellmer.
Title: | Variability of thermohaline circulation under an ice shelf (abstract) / H.H. Hellmer. |
Author(s): | Hellmer, H. H. |
Date: | 1990. |
In: | Annals of Glaciology. (1990.), Vol. 14 (1990) |
Abstract: | Production of Antarctic Bottom Water is mainly influenced by ice-shelf water, which is formed through modification of shelf water masses under massive ice shelves. To simulate this, two-dimensional thermohaline circulation model was developed for section perpendicular to ice-shelf edge. |
Notes: | Annals of Glaciology. Vol. 14 :338 (1990). |
Keywords: | 551.465 -- Oceanography, dynamics. C -- Oceanography, hydrography and hydrology. (*80) -- Southern Ocean. |
