Record #104053:

Modelling bridge induced ice jams / T.G. Brown.

Title: Modelling bridge induced ice jams / T.G. Brown.
Author(s): Brown, T. G.
Date: 1990.
Publisher: New York: American Society of Mechanical Engineers
In: Proceedings of the Ninth International Conference on Offshore Mechanics and Arctic Engineering - 1990 - presented at ... Houston, Texas, February 18-23, 1990. Vol. 4. Arctic/polar technology. (1990.),
Abstract: Describes development of probabilistic model to evaluate effects of multi-span bridge on ice regime in Northumberland Strait, linking New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. Primary objectives of analysis were to establish frequency and severity of jams caused by bridge piers, and cumulative effect on ice season.
