| Abstract: | Sinha's (1988) model is implemented into finite-element computer program, which is used to compute pressure generated by moving ice sheet on four rigid structures. Dependency of ice pressure on contact area and aspect ratio (width of ice-structure contact divided by height of contact) is investigated. Results of finite element are compared with results of earlier indentation tests. |
