Abstract: Presents Late Holocene chronology of glacial variation at west flank of icefields in this region of south-central Alaska. Sequence is derived from 1988 studies near six west-trending outlet tongues of Harding Icefield and Grewingk-Yalik ice complex. Two major episodes of ice advance: 545 AD and 1500 AD. Since 1800 AD, glacier retreat has occurred.
