| Abstract: | Study aimed at better understanding of climate and climate change. Terrain types include closed boreal forests, open woodlands, tundra, pack ice of Arctic Ocean, glaciers, and large ice sheets. For each, parameters such as albedo, surface roughness, and thermal diffusivity of subsurface, and their seasonal variations, are considered. Components of surface energy balance, particularly net radiation or radiation balance, are presented on seasonal basis. |
