Meridional sea-ice transport and its impact on climate / Tamara Shapiro Ledley.
Title: | Meridional sea-ice transport and its impact on climate / Tamara Shapiro Ledley. |
Author(s): | Ledley, Tamara Shapiro. |
Date: | 1990. |
In: | Annals of Glaciology. (1990.), Vol. 14 (1990) |
Abstract: | Importance of sea ice and its concentration in controlling magnitude of surface energy fluxes has been demonstrated previously. In this study, sea-ice transport is added to earlier coupled energy-balance climate-thermodynamic sea-ice model and effect of this transport on mean annual sea-ice thickness and concentration, and thus on annually averaged ocean-atmosphere energy exchange and mean annual air temperature, is examined. |
Notes: | Annals of Glaciology. Vol. 14 :141-143 (1990). |
