Record #103640:
Ozone profile measurements within, at the edge of, and outside the Antarctic polar vortex in the spring of 1988 / T. Deshler, D.J. Hofmann, J.V. Hereford.
Title: | Ozone profile measurements within, at the edge of, and outside the Antarctic polar vortex in the spring of 1988 / T. Deshler, D.J. Hofmann, J.V. Hereford. |
Author(s): | Deshler, T. Hofmann, D. J. Hereford, J. V. |
Date: | 1990. |
In: | Journal of Geophysical Research. (1990.), Vol. 95(D7) (1990) |
Abstract: | Reports ozone and temperature measured during 38 balloon soundings at McMurdo Station, between August 24 and November 14. Although polar vortex did not remain overhead as it did in 1986 and 1987, it stayed long enough to establish that ozone depletion was less extensive and ended earlier than in previous two years. |
Notes: | Journal of Geophysical Research. Vol. 95(D7) :10, 023-10, 035 (1990). |
Keywords: | 551.510.534 -- Ozone layer. 551.524.7 -- Temperature, upper air. D -- Atmospheric sciences. (*7) -- Antarctic regions. (*764) -- Ross Island. |
