Record #103051:

A low-order dynamical model of global climatic variability over the full Pleistocene / Kirk A. Maasch, Barry Saltzman.

Title: A low-order dynamical model of global climatic variability over the full Pleistocene / Kirk A. Maasch, Barry Saltzman.
Author(s): Maasch, Kirk A.
Saltzman, Barry.
Date: 1990.
In: Journal of Geophysical Research. (1990.), Vol. 95(D2) (1990)
Abstract: Previously formulated model is extended to include additive Earth orbital forcing (summer insolation changes at 65°N) and tectonic forcing with postulated variation in multiplicative parameters (rate constants) of model system. Structural properties of model are examined in detail to reveal regions of parameter space wherein geologically inferred features of full Pleistocene can be simulated, including chronology, phase relationships between ice, CO₂ and North Atlantic Deep Water formation, and mid-Pleistocene transition.
