Record #103028:

Age determination of the Antarctic fishes Champsocephalus gunnari and Notothenia rossii marmorata from South Georgia / Richard L. Radtke.

Title: Age determination of the Antarctic fishes Champsocephalus gunnari and Notothenia rossii marmorata from South Georgia / Richard L. Radtke.
Author(s): Radtke, Richard L.
Date: 1990.
In: Polar Biology. (1990.), Vol. 10(5) (1990)
Abstract: Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) examination of otoliths combined with multiple regression analyses relating age to otolith morphometrics and fish size used as simple ageing technique. Length-at-age data determined on yearly basis could provide valuable scientific and management information for two species.
Notes:

Polar Biology. Vol. 10(5) :321-327 (1990).

Keywords: 597.583.1 -- Nototheniiformes.
591.134 -- Animal growth.
591.139 -- Animals, ageing.
574.34 -- Population dynamics.
