Record #102979:
Primary production of ice algae on a seasonally-ice-covered, continental shelf / B.D. Irwin.
Title: | Primary production of ice algae on a seasonally-ice-covered, continental shelf / B.D. Irwin. |
Author(s): | Irwin, B. D. |
Date: | 1990. |
In: | Polar Biology. (1990.), Vol. 10(4) (1990) |
Abstract: | Reports study of photosynthetic physiology of ice algae community from samples collected from winter pack ice off Labrador during March 1984. Community characterized by high assimilation numbers with very low susceptibility to photoinhibition at surface light intensities and is dominated by centric diatoms. |
Notes: | Polar Biology. Vol. 10(4) :247-254 (1990). |
