Abstract: | Presents results from intensive study in northern foothills of Brooks Range where five species of rodent occur. Study's main objectives are: 1. to describe patterns of distribution, abundance and demography for dominant species, Microtus oeconomus and Microtus miurus; 2. to test hypothesis that relative abundance is determined primarily by availability of high quality food. |
