Abstract: Analyses included Cl, SO₄, Na, Ca, K, Mg, SiO₄, PO₄, NO₃+NO₂, NH₄, and chlorophyll-a, collected over 23 d starting with open water to ice that was 23 cm thick. Algal bloom observed in water column and in ice.
