Abstract: Limnological and benthic studies conducted during summers of 1984-85 and 1986-87. Benthic microfauna included seven taxonomic groups, dominated numerically by protozoa, rotifera, nematoda, turbellaria, tardigrada, oligochaeta and mites. Faunal density high in moss-associated sediments. Maximum water depth of 6.5 m recorded in centre of lake; total volume estimated to be 62 million m³ over submerged area of 0.297 km².
